Workshop organised by AGIL - Associação Gráfica Ilhavense in partnership with Ílhavo Maritime Museum
Through the mediation of engraving on linoleum, this workshop suggests a reinterpretation of the work of João Carlos, mixing his look with the contemporary looks of the participants, focusing on what was the artist's approach to the fishing activity as the labour of a community. Through the tracing of elements from João Carlos' illustrations, the participants will be invited to integrate them in their own illustrations/compositions, in order to re-contextualize and re-signify them in the context of their own daily life, the current one.
