Em “Salão Cinema", AGIL intends to make its cinema hall into a cinephile space in small dimension, a space for cinephilia, in which there should fit proposals that echo the very thought of the project - a small-scale project, of independent production and with particular attention to young creators. This initiative may also include other types of works, such as lost classics that may resonate with some other element of the programme. What traces the line of curatorship is the will to rescue good works from invisibility. The duration will tend to be and we will try to involve a more informal and convivial dynamic after the projection, in order to promote an exchange of impressions about what was seen".
First session ︎ On a graphic level, we start from the architectural identity elements for the typographic treatment, from the shape of film to create the layout and the design of cinema audience in parallel with the formalism of one of the clips from the film "Lembranças da Vida Moderna" by Inês Soares. Second session ︎ This time, we brought double dose, with "Criados na serra" by Maria Inês Santos (2016) and "Memória Descritiva" by Melanie Pereira (2020), both with the seal of UBI Cinema. We got together on the 23rd (Saturday) evening to watch, talk and tell stories, very well packed by two works that are wonderfully constituted through these three activities.
